Positive thinking during pregnancy

As a Maternity Model, It’s easy to expect yourself to think Positive Thoughts during your pregnancy, but sometimes we all need a little guidance. Here are 10 affirmations to keep you thinking positive thoughts.

  1. I can do this.

Although this affirmation looks deceptively simple, the message is important. You have every tool you need to be the best mother you can possibly be.

  1. I am not alone.

No matter what your situation, every mother-to-be has a support system. Whether it’s your husband, your closest girlfriends, or your doctor, chances are you have someone to turn to at every moment.

  1. I have options.

Whether it’s birthing methods or baby bottles, you have a choice regarding just about everything baby-related. The power is in your hands. And don’t worry; every single choice you make will be the right one.

4. I will surround myself with positivity.

Does your neighbor disagree with your thoughts on breastfeeding? Is your coworker trying to give her unsolicited advice on baby names? If you are around anyone who isn’t giving you the support and love you deserve, make sure that you’re around people who do.

  1. I will take care of myself.

This means eating healthy, sleeping right, and going to all of your doctor appointments. The healthier you are, the happier you will feel.

  1. I will remember that this too shall pass.

There will be mornings when your back is on fire, your head is pounding, and your stomach will not stop churning. These are all temporary side effects. No matter how bad the pain may get, remember that the reward is well worth it all.

This might be easier said than done, but take a few minutes out of your day to think about what you are thankful for. Pregnancy is such a blessing.

Remember- you’re not pregnant forever! So, enjoy the time that you are. There is an even better adventure that follows your pregnancy…the birth of your healthy, beautiful baby!
