One of the hardest facts about true love is that it’s liberating. When you truly accept a person for who they are, you are set free with wings to fly. This sense of confidence belongs to you. To need a person is not loving at all. True love is a monumental challenge. It can make us vulnerable and frightened. Self-disclosure is courageous. Love is not a fairy tale. It requires communication, being a sensitive listener, and quite often not romantic. Love will show up in various forms, which require many challenges. Love may appear for a moment, a season, or a lifetime. In whatever capacity, accept its form and learn from that love.
