pregnnacy morning sickness

Although morning sickness may not be experienced by all pregnant women, it is still one of the most common and notable symptoms of expecting mothers. If you’re sick and tired of being sick and tired, try out these remedies to sooth and alleviate the discomfort that leaves you feeling uneasy and weak.

Drink water and tea

Staying hydrated is crucial for maintaining good health. It is very important to include the necessary amounts of liquid recommended in your diet. Although you are advised to drink 8 classes of water every day, it is also helpful to consume other drinks as well. If you like something sweet and soothing, try adding apple cider vinegar and honey. Herbal teas also include a variety of flavors from peach, apple, raspberry and green tea. Explore the tea section of your grocery store and pick and choose what seems tasty to you.

Physical Activity

Some mothers may find it hard to move around when experiencing morning sickness. However, being physically active has shown to provide many benefits. Exercising allows you to release endorphins and help to increase your mood. Engaging in exercise will also alleviate stress and improve symptoms of nausea. Instead of sulking in your room, go outside and take a nice stroll around the park. Nature has a great way of uplifting the worst moods.

Ask your partner to give you a massage. Sometimes the sense of touch will help to soothe queasiness. A gentle stoke along your sternum (breastbone) may go a long way. Have someone massage this area with their fingertips, applying little pressure. Some women prefer their spouse to rub their tummy instead. A gentle massage of the stomach has the ability to fend off discomfort and nausea.

Try Acupuncture

Applying pressure on different points of your body has shown to help alleviate symptoms of morning sickness. You can buy acupressure wristbands to relieve nausea.  These wristbands are inexpensive, costing less than $10 for a pair. They can be found online or in local pharmacies and health food stores. Acupressure bands provide constant, gentle stimulation and are generally effective and long-lasting. Be sure to speak with your health care provider if you are looking to purchase these wristbands.
