Pregnant models often know that  traveling while expecting is part of their job. We also know air travel while pregnant can be nerve-racking, but being prepared and knowledgeable of the things you should bring with you, will make your trip more comfortable and less hectic.

Pregnant list of things to bring during travels

First thing first, pack all medications, prenatal chart and vitamins in your carry on for easy access. More importantly, make sure you have enough supply for all medications. It’s also a good idea to write-up a list of all emergency contacts and keep that in your carry on as well.

Airplane seats are small and your space is confined. Make sure to wear comfortable loose clothing and shoes. You may want to bring blister pads or slippers if your feet swell up. It’s best to bring a pillow if your on a long or overnight flight.

Some flights don’t have in-flight entertainment and they often don’t work if they do. So don’t forget your I-pod or a good book for relaxation. It’s easy to get dehydrated while up in the air, pack  healthy snacks and bottled water to avoid getting sick. Airplanes are not the most hygienic of places. You may want to bring sanitary wipes or an antibacterial sanitizer with you.  Also, pack a few heat pads just in case minor aches act up during the trip.

Your journey to motherhood doesn’t have to be the only journey you experience this year. Safe travels maternity models!

I have always traveled a lot for work. When I became pregnant my travel schedule didn’t slow too much! I knew I need to be prepared for healthy snacks, water bottles, loose comfortable clothing! Bringing healthy food and a water bottle was essential!!! Keeping yourself hydrated and fueled with healthy snacks (not processed/over priced airport food!) is so important!

I agree with Lauren… staying hydrated is super important. It also gave me piece of mind to look up hospitals and doctors in the city I was visiting.
